Our Story
Yacob Consulting Services started in 1992 when Silvia Yacob began serving the families of the Alexandria area with immigration, tax, and notary assistance. Her hard work and community-focus established a strong reputation among the Spanish-speaking residents which brought hundreds of clients through her doors.
Her love for helping clients with a variety of needs was passed on to her son, Michael Yacob, whose passion for serving the community and business background has further rooted this family-owned company as a pillar in Alexandria.
Michael Yacob
Michael Yacob is the CEO of Yacob Consulting Services, a Notary Public, and Tax Preparer who serves the residents of Northern Virginia with professionalism, integrity, and efficiency. A native of the DC/ Maryland/ Virginia area, Michael sees his clients as an extension of his family and works to provide them with the excellent service they deserve. Michael has 12 years of experience advocating for the Hispanic immigrant community through grass roots and community-based organizations in DC. Michael graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and holds an MBA from Virginia Tech with a concentration in Management. When he is not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and children, serving at his local church, and reading.

Silvia Yacob is the founder of Yacob Consulting Group, a Notary Public, and Tax Preparer who has been serving the Arlandria-Chililagua community since 1992. Her hard work and community focus has brought thousands of clients through her doors over the years and has earned her a well-respected place in the community. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
